Some of 2019's Christmas Ornaments. Each building is a pre-war designed bungalow apartment converted to commercial use by putting in large plate glass windows at the front, not paying attention to the original style. The business titles are based on the recipients interests. The buildings correspond in scale to HO model trains. Each measures approximately 3" square. These are laser cut card stock and plastic sheet.

Sawdust Festival
Three pieces I created after visiting the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, CA.
I tried to emulate the conditions the artists face, having to build their booths among the trees on the festival grounds. The shallow box frames set the limits of the components, with the exception of the "trees" growing beyond the frame. Most of the components are laser cut materials. The sawdust is made from pencil shavings. The art pieces in each booth are miniatures of my own work. The boxes are 4" and 5" square and the scale is 3/8" = 1', a common architectural scale. All are in private collections.
